Review:
“I’ve had the privilege of testing ACF Canvases (Artist Canvas Factory) over several months, and I can confidently say they’re a standout product for artists.
From my initial trial consignment—two 100% PET canvases, one regular 260gsm Stretch Canvas, and one 40mm deep 300gsm Box Canvas —I was impressed by their solid stretcher bars, even and smooth coating, and quick delivery.
I’ve used them primarily for oil painting, and the PET surface with ACF's proprietary coated surface offers a unique experience compared to cotton or linen—it’s robust, with just the right tooth to hold paint without it slipping or sinking in.
I didn’t need to add extra priming, and the paint glides on beautifully, building up forms thinly or richly as needed.
The canvases are drum-tight, well-constructed, and a pleasure to work on, making them ideal for creating detailed, lasting artwork.
I’ve also noted their superiority over traditional canvas boards, as the paint doesn’t sink in, and the fine weave isn’t intrusive but provides enough texture for a satisfying painting experience.
The current product is exceptional—I’d encourage any artist to try ACF Canvases for their quality and enjoyable painting surface.”
